Intervenção social em rede : as contradições concetuais e desafios para compreender o papel dos atores sociais nas estratégias de ação coletiva

Abstract

As relações sociais vivem um processo de reestruturação e ressignificação. A organização da vida em rede é um dos saltos mais significativos nas sociedades desenvolvidas. Hoje, vivemos num quadro de relações sociais híbridas que se estruturam em dinâmicas presenciais (face a face) e dinâmicas potenciadas por redes sociais digitais. Este artigo oferece uma clarificação do conceito de rede social, a forma como se foi consolidando nas ciências sociais e humanas e, apresenta uma breve introdução sobre a metodologia de análise de redes sociais. A ambição final é disponibilizar alguns contributos que a aplicação da metodologia de análise de redes sociais pode fornecer aos interventores sociais, designadamente nos trabalhos que implicam lógicas de cooperação e partilha de recursos entre organizações. Trata-se de um debate inicial sobre as potencialidades da aplicação da análise de redes sociais na definição de estratégias de ação coletiva pelos atores sociais que têm responsabilidades no diagnóstico e resolução de problemas sociais.

Social relations are in the process of restructuring and resignification. The organization of network life is one of the most significant leaps in developed societies. Today, we live in a framework of hybrid social relationships that are structured in faceto-face dynamics (face to face) and dynamics enhanced by digital social networks. This article offers a clarification of the concept of social networking, the way it has been consolidated in the social and human sciences and presents a brief introduction on the methodology of social network analysis. The ultimate ambition is to make some contributions that the application of the social network analysis methodology can provide to social actors, in work involving logics of cooperation and sharing of resources between organizations. This is an initial debate on the potentialities of the application of social network analysis in the definition of collective action strategies by social actors who have responsibilities in the diagnosis and resolution of social problems.
