Abstract: Under Turkish "zero problem" policy, Syrian-Turkish relations have undergone a radical transformation, with the advent of Bashar al-Assad to power and then the Justice and Development Party in 2002 to power at the beginning of the current century, thanks to the political will and efforts of both after a long history of tension and hostility between the two states, that this relation reached their peak in 2010. But after the outbreak of the Syrian revolution, Turkey recorded a clear contrast in its position compared to its position on the other Arab Spring revolutions. It can be said that it intervened in the Syrian conflict by all means of intervention from diplomatic to military intervention thus relations were no longer the same as before, as a result, tension has returned to govern the relationship until it reached the point of no return. Amid this conflict it becomes appropriate to understand and analyse the Turkish position towards Syria after 2011 and the transformations it witnessed. The dissertation has been titled Syrian-Turkish relations from friendship to enmity as a description of the extent of the negative transformation that occurred after the start of the Syrian revolution after less than a decade of intersection of interests and unlimited cooperation.
