A musicoterapia com idosos institucionalizados

Abstract

No documento encontra-se exposta a descrição de todo o percurso de estágio de musicoterapia realizado nas diferentes patologias dos idosos da ERPI do Centro de Bem-Estar Social de Vale de Figueira. A intervenção decorreu a partir de fases distintas, passando pela observação direta e seleção dos utentes; pela avaliação inicial e final das competências dos utentes e pela intervenção clínica ao longo das sessões realizadas. Foram 12 os casos que usufruíram da intervenção de musicoterapia, sendo que dois deles encontram-se descritos mais detalhadamente no presente trabalho. Esses 2 casos diferenciam-se em termos de abordagem, sendo que um consiste numa intervenção individual e o outro grupal, e em termos de patologias, em que no caso individual a patologia mais incidente no utente era a demência e no segundo caso, por ser um caso em grupo, os objetivos da intervenção incidiram nas problemáticas sociais, cognitivas, interativas e emocionais. Com o auxílio da grelha de avaliação no início e no fim da intervenção de musicoterapia, foi possível recolher dados imprescindíveis para a realização da mesma e para obtenção de resultados de acordo com os objetivos traçados.

The present document constitutes a description of the entire trajectory of the music therapy internship from the Masters Program in Music Therapy at Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa. The intervention was performed with elderly people at elderly residential facility of the Social Welfare Center of Vale de Figueira. The intervention took place from different phases, passing through direct observation and selection of the patients, through the initial and final evaluation of the patients skills and through the clinical intervention during the performed sessions. There were 12 cases that benefited from the music therapy intervention, although only two of them are described in more detail in the present work. These 2 cases differ in terms of approach, being that one consists of an individual intervention and the other of a group intervention, and in terms of pathologies, in which in the individual case the most incident pathology of the patient was dementia and in the second case, for being a group case, the aims of the intervention were focused on social, cognitive, interactive and emotional issues. With the help of the evaluation grid at the beginning and at the end of the music therapy intervention, it was possible to collect essential data for its realization and for obtaining results in accordance with the outlined goals.
