Metamorfoses urbanas : a cidade como processo de regeneração e conexão

Abstract

Resumo: As linhas com que as nossas cidades se cosem ao futuro passam, ainda pelo (re)desenho das políticas de mobilidade e pela regeneração dos tecidos urbanos, através de uma intervenção que não danifique cultural e socialmente os residentes, mas que traga as mais valias de uma sociedade global e tecnológica e os seus valores para uma nova fusão entre a tradição e a inovação. Assim através de transformações pontuais em locais devolutos na cidade, numa arquitetura metamórfica, de modelos híbridos e infraestruturais com o objetivo de recuperar e restruturar a imagem do local, potencia-se o crescimento urbano, resolvendo-se diversas problemáticas devido às suas valências de mutabilidade, adaptabilidade e morfofuncionalidade, que cada vez mais, se tornam de extrema importância numa sociedade consumidora e de mudanças sociais e culturais tão rápidas. Estes edifícios transformam-se assim em novos centros (poli)nucleados em relação à cidade, (re)definindo-a. A cidade, portanto, conecta, e é conectada aos seus utentes. Logo a infraestrutura molda-se e é moldada, numa rede física e virtual autónoma que se (auto)reproduz e (auto)regula, mantendo sempre relações com o meio que a rodeia, potenciando e proporcionando eventos nos espaços urbanos da cidade – uma cidade viva.

Abstract: The lines with which our cities are sewn to the future still pass, by the (re)design of the mobility policies and by the (re)generation of the urban fabrics, through an intervention that does not damage residentes both culturally and socially, but which brings the benefits of a global and technological society and its values to a new fusion between tradition and innovation. Thus, by means of pinpoint transformations in vacant places in the city, in a metamorphic architecture, of hybrid and infrastructural models with the objective of recovering and restructuring the image of the place, urban growth is boosted, solving diverse problems due to their valences of mutability, adaptability and morphofunctionality, which increasingly become extremely important in a consumer society of sudden social and cultural changes. These buildings thus become new centers (poly)nucleated in relation to the city, (re)defining it. The city, therefore, connects, and is connected to its users. So the infrastructure molds and is shaped, in an autonomous physical and virtual network which (self)reproduces and (self)regulates, always maintaining relations with the environment that surrounds it, providing and empowering events in the urban spaces of the city - a living city.
