A Arquitectura como função de ancoragem competitiva do Touring Patrimonial

Abstract

Assumindo a globalização como fenómeno de enorme influência nos diferentes sectores sociais, partiu-se para a o estudo das consequências desta na sociedade contemporânea. Especificamente, foi enfoque deste documento a dialética homogeneização / heterogeneização associada ao património enquanto resultante dos fluxos globais. Face à revisão bibliográfica efetuada, metodologia primordial da presente dissertação, constatou-se que das diferentes perspetivas, fomos concordantes com a visão de que o global, mais do que uniformizar as culturas locais, potencia as suas singularidades e especificidades. Sendo esta premissa a linha orientadora do trabalho, procurou-se indagar à cerca do papel do touring, enquanto instrumento de leitura e escrita do espaço, na valorização e salvaguarda do património – símbolo identitário de cada cultura. Pretendeu-se ainda discutir o papel da arquitetura como função de ancoragem do touring patrimonial, tendo em vista a salvaguarda e valorização do património. Entendidos os conceitos abordados neste estudo, é apresentado um ensaio projetual – o projeto de touring patrimonial amarantino- que materializa, num exercício prático, a relação entre globalização, touring, património e arquitetura.

Assuming globalization as a phenomenon of enormous influence in different social sectors, we proposed to study the consequences of this phenomenon in contemporary society. In specific, this paper is focused on the dialectic homogenization / heterogenization and its relation with heritage as a result of global flows. Through the bibliographical review performed, main methodology of the present dissertation, it was verified that from the different perspectives analized, we were in agreed with the view that the global, rather than standardizing the local cultures, enhances their singularities and specificities. Starting from this premise as guiding line of this papper, we sought to inquire about the role of touring, as an instrument of reading and writing of space, in the appreciation and protection of the heritage - identity of each culture. It was also intended to discuss the role of architecture as an anchoring function of heritage touring, intending to protect and valuing heritage. Following the understanding of this concepts, a project essay is presented - Amarante’s heritage touring project - that materializes, in a practical exercise, the relationship between globalization, touring, heritage and architecture.
