Prevenção primária da violência doméstica : que desafios para o serviço social?

Abstract

O presente artigo, insere-se no âmbito de investigação no quadro de Estágio Curricular, da Licenciatura em Serviço Social. A violência doméstica apresenta-se como um espaço de intervenção em Serviço Social que requer do profissional proatividade na área da prevenção primária de potenciais situações subjacentes a esta problemática. Neste sentido, em termos metodológicos foi desenvolvido um questionário, aplicado à população residente em Portugal, com idade maior de 18 anos, entre dezembro de 2022 e janeiro de 2023, cujo objetivo foi aferir a perceção da sociedade civil relativamente às problemáticas, técnicas, públicos--alvo e dinâmicas mais pertinentes para a efetivação da prevenção primária da violência doméstica. Os dados permitem-nos concluir que 95,1% dos participantes consideram que o investimento na prevenção primária é importante para a diminuição da ocorrência do crime de violência doméstica e 58,4% dos participantes consideram não existirem iniciativas suficientes de prevenção primária desta problemática, tornando-se este estudo um contributo para refletir a problematização da violência doméstica no âmbito da intervenção em Serviço Social.

This article is part of the scope of research in the context of Curricular Internship, of the Degree in Social Work. Domestic violence is presented as a space for intervention in Social Work that requires professionals to be proactive in the area of primary prevention of potential situations underlying this problem. In this sense, in methodological terms, a questionnaire was developed, applied to the population residing in Portugal, aged over 18 years, between December 2022 and January 2023, whose objective was to assess the perception of civil society regarding the problems, techniques, publics target and more relevant dynamics for the effectiveness of the primary prevention of domestic violence. The data allow us to conclude that 95.1% of the participants consider that the investment in primary prevention is important for the reduction of the occurrence of the crime of domestic violence and 58.4% of the participants consider that there are not enough initiatives of primary prevention of this problem, making this study a contribution to reflect on the problematization of domestic violence within the scope of intervention in Social Work.
