A reabilitação da Quinta da Pia

Abstract

A presente dissertação tem o propósito de, com o estudo teórico-prático de um caso de estudo real, analisar a reabilitação de uma casa agrícola contruída com materiais tradicionais em que o projeto visa reconvertê-la em habitação contemporânea. O objeto de estudo compreende um conjunto de edifícios, atualmente devolutos e inativos, localizados em Vizela, Portugal. Podemos encontrar entre estas edificações diversos usos, tais como adega, casa, celeiro, entre outros, assim como a sua envolvente agrícola que não alterou o seu uso. Para uma melhor e mais fundamentada análise do objeto de intervenção, serão analisados e estudados os diversos tipos de arquitetura da zona geográfica de Vizela, como a arquitetura vernacular, a arquitetura tradicional e a arquitetura popular. A reflexão e o aprofundamento das diversas tipologias tem como finalidade a compreensão da metodologia, das técnicas e dos materiais utilizados na época de construção do objeto de estudo, para que posteriormente, as opções de intervenção adotadas no local sejam assertivas e conscientes. Serão estudadas as possibilidades da intervenção em preexistências, porque para alem da alteração dos usos de alguns edifícios do conjunto arquitetónico, também existe a vontade de adicionar certos aspetos contemporâneos, nomeadamente o conforto, mas sem retirar o valor histórico e tradicional que são notórios na estrutura.

The present dissertation aims, with the theoretical and practical study of a real study case, to analyze the rehabilitation of an agricultural house built with traditional materials in which the project aims to convert it into contemporary housing. The object of study comprises a set of buildings, currently returnable and inactive, located in Vizela, Portugal. We can find among these buildings several uses, such as winery, house, barn, among others, as well as its agricultural surroundings that has not altered its use. For a better and more grounded analysis of the object of intervention, the various types of architecture of the geographical area of Vizela, such as vernacular architecture, traditional architecture, and popular architecture, will be analyzed and studied. The reflection and deepening of the various typologies aim to understand the methodology, techniques and materials used at the time of construction of the object of study, so that later, the intervention options adopted on site are assertive and conscious. The possibilities of intervention in pre-existences will be studied, because in addition to changing the uses of some buildings of the architectural complex, there is also the desire to add certain contemporary aspects, namely comfort, but without removing the historical and traditional value that are notorious in the structure.
