D. Carlos I e a Falerística

Abstract

Procura-se, no presente artigo, analisar a profunda revolução operada no reinado de Dom Carlos a nível da Falerística, quer militar, quer civil. De 1891 até ao final do seu reinado foram diversas as condecorações criadas ou reformuladas, mostrando que o justo reconhecimento público foi, indiscutivelmente, uma das preocupações deste reinado em que Portugal tanto se transformou.

In the present article we try to analyse the profound Phaleristics revolution, military and civilian, occurred during Dom Carlos kingdom. From 1891 until the end of his own kingdom several decorations were created or reformed, showing that fair public reconnaissance was, undoubtedly, one of the main concerns of his leadership, a time, during what Portugal changed a lot.
