Revitalização de um equipamento cultural : Biblioteca Municipal Raúl Brandão

Abstract

Com a presente dissertação, que conta com o tema revitalização de um equipamento cultural, onde o projeto para o caso de estudo é a Biblioteca Raúl Brandão, o objetivo principal é abordar a revitalização num equipamento cultural, para assim o dinamizar, inserindo novos conceitos e técnicas para que siga um diferente rumo, mas, continuando a sua história. Deste ponto de vista, abordámos o tema com o presente caso de estudo, a biblioteca municipal, localizada na cidade de Guimarães e para que os resultados obtidos fossem os mais favoráveis e precisos, recorremos a toda uma pesquisa desenvolvida nesta dissertação, que nos levaram a concluir que as bibliotecas serão sempre necessárias e procuradas, e por isso a sua revitalização será sempre uma mais valia, em todos os seus aspectos, assim como também a preservação da sua história, sendo este um edifício considerado património, onde precisamos reconsiderar como iríamos intervir, como também os aspectos mais relevantes a ter em consideração, para que não perdesse o valor que tinha. Com os seguintes métodos, tais como: documentais, observação, entrevistas, conversa com a bibliotecária e com os elementos que incorporam o gabinete do centro histórico da Câmara Municipal de Guimarães e a análise secundária à cidade, ao terreno e ao edifício, propomo-nos a uma revitalização, nos pontos fundamentais, tais como: o interior do quarteirão, o intervir na biblioteca, mas acima de tudo precisa, com regras, para assim vermos uma mudança necessária, precisa e que evoluiu de uma forma significativa, para o bem estar de todos, e aos fins da nossa proposta.

With this thesis, that has the theme revitalization of cultural facility, being the case of study the Raúl Brandão Library, the main objective is to address the revitalization of a cultural facility, thus the dynamic by inserting new concepts and techniques to follow a different course, but continuing his story. From this point of view, we addressed the issue with case study, the municipal library, located in the city of Guimarães and the results obtained were the most favorable and accurate, we resort to a whole research developed in this work, whicj led us to conclude that libraries will always be needed and wanted, and its revitalization is always a plus in all its aspects, as well as the preservation of its history, which is a building considered heritage, where we need to reconsider how we would intervene as well as the most relevant aspects to take into consideration, so as not to lose the value it had. With the following methods such as: documentary, observation, interviews, conservations with the librarian and the elements of the office of the historical center of the Municipality of Guimarães and secondary analysis to the city, the land and the building, we propose a revitalization in key points such as: the interior of the block, the intervention in the library, but most of all precise, with rules, thus seeing a necessary change, precise and that evolved in a significant way, to the well-being of all, to the purposes of our proposal.
