Recuperação patrimonial para edifícios escolares : a escola profissional integrada : Ermelo, Baião

Abstract

A proposta apresentada passa pelo restauro e ampliação de um edifício em ruínas a fim de implementar uma escola profissional na freguesia de Ancede no conselho de Baião. A escola profissional visa dinamizar uma região empobrecida, criando um espírito de comunidade aberta que envolve os vários sectores da região, proporcionando uma ligação mais fluída entre as empresas, a região e a comunidade escolar. Procura-se criar um sistema auto-sustentável que estimule a região e combata o abandono escolar e exôdo populacional. Para isto são criadas infra-estruturas residenciais e turísticas que originam o desenvolvimento intelectual e técnico dos alunos, criando um leque de recursos humanos passíveis de serem usados pela comunidade exterior. A aplicação na estrutura parte de um restauro de uma estrutura em estado de abandono aplicando-lhe um programa funcional educativo administrativo. O restauro tem em conta várias considerações de políticas de salvaguarda de património de modo a preservar a autenticidade e identidade do local. Tem-se como preocupação a preservação de elementos arquitectónicos de elevado valor histórico, não hipotecando a possibilidade de modernização do espaço. A ampliação elaborada tem em conta o seu ponto de partida mas também toda a envolvente natural que a circunda. Procura-se assim uma simbiose perfeita entre o meio envolvente e escola, quer a nível ambiental quer no aspecto económico e em todas as potencialidades que a escola oferece à região.

This proposal goes through the restoration e expansion of a building in state of ruin, with the purpose of create a professional school in Ancede, Baião. This professional school intended to create some dynamism in the impoverish area, creating a spirit of open community that gets involved with the region, providing a much fluid connection between local companies, region and school community. By creating this self-sustaining system we are looking for a process that stimulate its surrounding and combat school leaving, as well population exodus. To accomplish this we create a series of urban and tourist infrastructures that give origin to intellectual and technical grow for the pupils, generating a range of human resources that could be used by the external community. The application made in the structure starts by the restoration of the abandoned building by giving it a functional educational program. This restoration takes into account several political views about safeguard, in order to preserve its authenticity and the local identity. We get the concern about the preservation of architectural elements with great historical value, without losing the possibility for modernization the zone and the new building. The new expansian gets into account the previous buildings as well all of its surroundings, getting involved with the natural space. By doing this, we are looking for the perfect symbiosis between the surroundings and the projected school, concerning the environmental level as well as the economical level, using all the school potential to give back to the region and the community.
